IIM-Bangalore best for executive MBA in India, Among Top 50 In QS World: QS Ranking

IM Bangalore has made its place in the top 50 management institutes in the world for the Executive MBA program. The institute is placed at 36th rank. It has also been placed in the top ten, at 9th rank, among institutes in the Asia Pacific region.

IIM-B has not only jumped 25 places as compared to last year but is also the only Indian institute in the top 50 globally. This year, 141 programs have been included in the list of global rankings, while 20 joint programs are enumerated in a separate list. In the region-wise ranking, three Indian institutes made it to the top 20. While IIM-B was ranked 9. Both IIM-Kozhikode and ISB were in the 15+ band.


IIMB welcomes 25 participants to the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management

IIM Bangalore welcomed the 19th batch of students to the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management (PGPPM) in a virtual inauguration, on 19th June 2020. The batch comprises 25 participants, from both Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Govt. of India, and non-DoPT candidates.

The inauguration was marked by the lamp lighting by IIMB Director Professor G. Raghuram and Dean Programmes Professor Abhoy K. Ojha.

Professor of Strategy and Director Designate Dr. Rishikesha T. Krishnan, who joined the inauguration online, welcomed the participants. “The pandemic has shown all of us that we need to build capacity to handle crises on many fronts – economic growth, public health, policy, innovation and competition. The policy of Atmanirbhar India is gaining ground. All of this is going to involve significant effort in the policy framework. This is not going to be easy – because there are many constraints and trade-offs. This program will help all of you to look at these challenges in a new light. The country must manage all these trade-offs. The program will provide you with tools and techniques to deal with this. This is bound to be an enriching and complex time to go through the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management at IIMB.”

Dean Administration Professor M.S. Narasimhan and Dean Alumni Relations & Management Professor K. Kumar, and IIMB’s CAO Col. (Retd.) S.D. Aravendan were present at the inauguration.

Even as the participants gear up for training about the online classes, they expressed their desire to attend classes on the sylvan campus at the earliest.


Professor Rishikesha Krishnan, Incoming Director, IIM Bangalore meeting with Members of Alumni

Prof Rishikesha met with the members of alumni via digital video call to get feedback and suggestions on engaging, strengthening alumni relations and development. This call was attended by the IIMB Faculty and Alums from across the globe.

Respected alumni also poured in their ideas and opinions on various matters and even offered to volunteer to assist the institute, their alma mater if the need arises. The meeting concluded on a positive and optimistic note.


NIRF India Rankings 2020: IIMB ranked 2nd

IIMB has been ranked second among the top three B-schools in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2020 under the Management category, released on Thursday, 11th June 2020. The Rankings were released online, by the Union Minister of Human Resources Development, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal (‘Nishank’), on Twitter.
