NSRCEL Organizes Bengaluru’s Premier Entrepreneurship Conference “SummitUp” Over Two Days

NSRCEL, the innovation and entrepreneurship hub of IIM Bangalore, successfully concluded its two-day flagship entrepreneurship conference, SummitUp, in Bengaluru. The conference served as a crucial platform that brought together entrepreneurs, government representatives, policymakers, academicians, incubators, VCs, and experts to address key issues in entrepreneurship and offer a holistic global perspective for founders. With over 350 guests and participants, SummitUp featured thought-provoking discussions through keynote speeches, fireside chats, special presentations, and panel discussions. The event covered various themes such as the entrepreneurship environment, gender lens, incubation ecosystem, and creating impactful change at scale. Distinguished speakers included industry leaders like K Ganesh, Sharad Sharma, Abhimanyu Saxena, Rashmi Bansal, Mekin Maheshwari, and Ankit Agarwal. Notably, Mukesh Bansal emphasized the need for startups to reinvent themselves beyond funding, while K Ganesh stressed the significance of embracing artificial intelligence for competitive advantage in all sectors.

IIM Bangalore’s PGPEM Students Enthrall with ‘Pehel 2023’ Cultural Fest on May 28th

On May 28th, 2023, the students of IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) hosted the vibrant cultural fest, ‘Pehel 2023’. The theme for this year’s event was ‘Golden Kaleidoscope: Embracing India’s cultural diversity’. The fest began with an inaugural speech by Prof. Allen P Ugargol, followed by an address by Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, the Director of IIM Bangalore. The event featured felicitation of the top 10 students from the 2022-24 PGPEM cohort, captivating performances including dance, music, poetry recitals, stand-up acts, and more. Pehel 2023 was a joyous celebration attended by students’ families and the IIMB community.

MIJSC at IIM Bangalore Holds Webinar on ‘Addressing Urban Water Crisis: Management Strategies of India and Japan in the Era of Global Warming’ on May 16th

On May 16th, 2023 (Tuesday), the Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC) at IIM Bangalore organized a webinar titled ‘Global Warming is No Myth! Urban Water Crisis & Management Strategies of India and Japan’. This webinar was part of MIJSC’s panel presentation series called ‘Meijin-Samvad’ or ‘Expert Conversation’. The virtual session, conducted through Zoom, aimed to explore the challenges posed by urban water crises in India and Japan, while also discussing effective management strategies to combat them in the face of global warming.
