IIMB Celebrates International Women’s Day with Maj. Nithi CJ’s Inspiring Talk
IIM Bangalore celebrated International Women’s Day with an inspiring talk by Maj. Nithi CJ from the Indian Army. On the eve of International Women’s Day, March 7th, Maj. Nithi shared highlights of her career in Army Intelligence with staff, students, and faculty at IIM Bangalore.
In her presentation and interactive session, Maj. Nithi discussed her journey in addressing gender stereotypes. She emphasized the importance of passion, purpose, and duty in her career. “In 2010, I donned the uniform to live the life I dreamt of. In ten years, I travelled across the country, investigating, eliciting, assessing, and analyzing information,” she shared. “In 2020, I chose to do my MPhil in Defence and Strategic Studies and also became a certified yoga Instructor. Leadership is all about utilizing your potential and helping others realize theirs.”
Earlier in the day, the Human Resources Department and the Staff Recreation Committee (SRC) organized events, sports, quizzes, and more for the women at IIMB, where women comprise 55 percent of the non-teaching staff.
Entrepreneurial Insights: Guest Lecture by Rohit M A at IIMB
MPEFB Alumni Rohit M A, Co-Founder of Cloudnine Group of Hospitals and PeerCapital, delivered a guest lecture to the PGP students of sections G & B at IIM Bangalore on March 6th.
During the session, Rohit shared valuable insights from his entrepreneurial journey. He discussed various aspects, including opportunity identification in the maternity health space, building a customer-centric experience in healthcare, insights on team building, scaling a start-up, and transitioning from a full-time role in his venture.
The lecture provided students with practical knowledge and real-world perspectives, offering them a glimpse into the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship.
Exploring Tech & Innovation Strategy: Guest Lecture at IIMB
Md Nashim Akhtar, Director of Electric Vehicles Program & New Initiatives, Vinay Iyer, Vice President of Finance, and Akshay V Singhal, Founder & CEO of Log9 Materials, along with Dr. Nilam Kaushik, faculty in the Strategy area at IIMB, conducted a guest lecture as part of the Technology and Innovation Strategy course for PGP 1 students.
During the session, the speakers shared insights and experiences on various aspects of tech and innovation strategy, providing valuable real-world perspectives to the students. The lecture offered students an opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain a deeper understanding of the role of technology and innovation in strategic management.
