New Faculty Joining – Ms. Pearl Malhotra, Visiting Faculty, OB & HRM Area

Pearl Malhotra has joined IIMB on Monday, 21^st August 2017,  as Visiting Faculty in the OB & HRM Area, initially for a period of three years.

Ms. Malhotra is a “Fellow in Management” from IIM Ahmedabad. Her research interests are in Leadership, Manager-Subordinate Relationship and Diversity in Organizations.

Appointment of Professor Bringi Dev as Chairperson, Centre for Management Communication

The centre for Management Communication was formally inaugurated by Ms. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson, Board of Governors on 19th August 2017.

Professor Bringi Dev, Professor of Practice, has been appointed as Chairperson of the Centre till 31st December 2019.

New faculty Joining- Dr. Abhinav Anand, Assistant Professor, Finance & Accounting Area

Dr. Abhinav Anand has joined the Institute on Friday, 1^st September 2017,  as an Assistant Professor in the Finance & Accounting Area.

Dr. Anand has obtained his PhD in  Economics from State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook. Prior to joining IIMB,  Dr. Anand was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, University College Dublin. His research interests span several broad areas within the field of Finance.  His PhD work was focused on asset return modeling using “tempered stable’ fat tailed distributions, tail risk estimation using the “Foster Hart” risk measure and their application to equity risk estimations and portfolio optimization.
