IIMB Alumni Office Event: IIMB Author Talk Series

IIMB Alumni Office hosted a new talk series titled Author Talk Series focused on alumni authors. The talk series focussed on their books, writing journey, motivations, and tips for other fellow alums who wish to write and author books.

This series was held on 21st Nov’20 in an online zoom session and was attended by book enthusiasts and aspiring writers. The guest panel consisted of authors RV Raman (PGP 1988) and Bhaswar Mukherjee (PGP 1988) and was moderated by the content writer for LSquare, Priyanka Mathur (EGMP 14B).

About the Authors:

R Venkat Raman – After a successful corporate run, RV Raman wanted to take things slow and turn to things that intellectually interested him. That is when he took up writing. He is an author of several books and has written for different genre like corporate crime thrillers, murder mysteries, short stories and fantasy. His latest book – A Will to Kill is the first book in a new series featuring Harith Athreya as the sleuth. He is an ex-IPS man who retired early because he felt that law and justice are two different things. He is a mild-mannered, soft-spoken person with a vivid imagination.

Bhaswar Mukherjee – Bhaswar is an Indian author and has many books to his name. His recent book It Happens: Stories of Human Relationships is a collection of stories on Human relationships, emotions and its many facets. These stories will make you live the characters and experience their relationships. And though he calls himself an accidental writer, his stories have always received rave reviews from authors like Amitav Ghosh, Ashwin Sanghi and his readers.
