IIMB PGP Students Soar to Victory in Air India Case Competition

Team Trilogy, composed of second-year MBA students Ruby Catharin A, Ralpha Josephine Crency C, and Santhosh S from IIM Bangalore, clinched victory in the AIR India SOAR Case Competition 2023. Triumphing over 12 teams from 27 B-schools nationwide, they secured a prestigious prize, including INR 1.5 lakh in cash, a round-trip to London/Paris, and vouchers.

The competition featured three rounds—PPT submission, mentorship, and the grand finale. Opting for the Loyalty Program case, Team Trilogy devised an innovative loyalty value proposition with an Indian essence. They crafted a comprehensive ‘Go-to-Market’ strategy and a business P&L to assess the feasibility of their proposed loyalty program.

Ruby Catharin shared, “This transformative experience delved deep into the Aviation Loyalty program, fostering our learning and growth.” The esteemed jury, comprising top AIR India executives, including Suresh Tripathi, Rajesh Dogra, Abhijeet Menon, and Gokul Kollayikal, along with Nipun Aggarwal and Campbell Wilson, added to the enriching experience of the participants.


Second-Year MBA Students Secure Victory in ITC Case Contest Campus Round

In a notable accomplishment, Team Titans, consisting of Akash Trivedi, Jyonit Gupta, and Akshay Rathore, all second-year students in the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), emerged victorious in the Campus round of the ITC Interrojam Case Challenge competition. This competition tasks students with addressing real-life business challenges. Team Titans showcased their ‘Next Big Idea’ to ITC’s Senior Leadership Team.

Securing the First Runner-up position was Team B-Syndicate, composed of Ameer F, Arun, Elanchithiran, and Rushikesh Patil from PGP 2.

Both teams presented innovative solutions pinpointing a specific category within the carbonated beverage market for ITC. Their proposals included differentiation strategies and disruptive product mixes supported by robust consumer insights. Additionally, they conducted a thorough analysis of the competitive landscape and formulated comprehensive marketing strategies, demonstrating a well-rounded approach to the challenge.

Among 1,900+ applicants, Darshana Joshi stands out as one of the 2023 Echoing Green Fellows. VigyanShaala is dedicated to establishing a mission-driven organization, making STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and skills accessible to marginalized communities throughout India.
