Nation’s Independence Day When Celebrated On Campus
The Independence Day was celebrated at the Campus on 15th August 2017. This year, the month of August is a landmark for our country as it witnessed the 70th anniversary of Independence and also the 75th year of Quit India Movement of 1942. It was a moment to reflect upon the sacrifices of great freedom fighters while at the same time pledging to work earnestly towards a New India, by 2022 when 75 years of Independence would be observed.
It has been directed by Govt. of India that the Higher Educational Institutions in the country would carry out certain activities in a structured manner from 9th August to 30th August 2017.
Prof. G. Raghuram, Director, IIMB, hoisted the flag at the Institute.To mark the occasion, the faculty & employees, their family members and students were felicitated and honored for contribution to IIMB Community and Society in general for Social Service, Environment Protection and Act beyond the Call of Duty. All faculty, officers, staff, students of all programmes of EEP’s along with their families were invited to participate in the function.
