Udaan and The Last Lecture

Bidding farewell to the walls of IIM Bangalore was all the more special this year.

Udaan, rightly refers to the flight that the PGP 2018 batch will take as they leave the campus in a few days. Udaan 2018 saw a frenzy ensued by enthralling performances. The nostalgia in the air was accompanied with songs about friendship. Section C and D dance troupes brought life back to L2. The event ended with the customary T-Shirt signing ceremony. The batch of 2018 stood on L2, writing on each other’s back about memories, stories and best wishes. A few cried, a few laughed but in unison they celebrated their MBA life.

The Forum for Industrial Interaction organised The Last Lecture with the batch’s favourite professors. At 9:00pm sharp, the auditorium saw 400 faces waiting for the session to start. While a few clicked selfies, others waited with profound anticipation for their star Professors. Amidst the crowd in the first row Professor YLR Moorty, Professor Anshuman, Professor Avinash Mulky and Professor Chetan looked excited to address the batch for the very last time.

The session started with questions on life, success and happiness. With the flurry of questions came witty answers and a lot of life gyaans. Cheer, laughter and thunderous applause echoed in the auditorium. Interactions on the IIM Bangalore brands and the jokes on inter-iim rivalry lightened the mood.

The Director Professor G. Raghunath delivered a parting address to the batch. He laid emphasis on going out with a brand name that one has to live upto. Professor Vasanthi Srinivasan sent a message for the batch too.

The session ended with a standing ovation and applause from the batch.
