Yamini 2024

Yamini 2024, an Indian classical music and dance festival organized by IIM Bangalore in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, illuminated the eve of Republic Day with its dusk-to-dawn celebration of heritage. Held on January 25th and 26th, 2024, this annual event marked the 20th edition of its kind and served as a significant part of IIMB’s Golden Jubilee celebrations. Open to all, Yamini welcomed enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Indian classical music and culture.

Commencing at 7 pm on January 25th and culminating at 6 am on January 26th, the festival featured five awe-inspiring performances that showcased the essence and diversity of Indian classical music. Renowned artists graced the stage, captivating audiences with their virtuosity and passion.

Padma Bhushan Begum Parween Sultana, Carnatic vocalist Padma Shri A. Kanyakumari, Margi Madhu, Shri Pravin Godkhindi, and the Malladi Brothers, Sreeramprasad and Ravikumar, showcased their mastery, accompanied by accomplished musicians. The Open Air Theatre at IIM Bangalore was filled to the brim with connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike, eager to witness the captivating performances under the starlit sky.

Yamini has been a cornerstone of Bengaluru’s cultural calendar for the past 19 years, offering a platform for artists to showcase their talent and for audiences to indulge in an enriching cultural experience.
