Mumbai Anusmaran

On September 16, 2023, the event in Mumbai proved to be a resounding success, drawing a crowd of 160 enthusiastic attendees who filled the hall with an electric atmosphere of celebration and positive energy. The evening’s highlights included insightful talks by our directors, Utanka Sarma and Harish Mittal, who shared plans for our upcoming Golden Jubilee and highlighted the remarkable achievements of IIM Bangalore Alumni Association (IIMBAA). Saif Qureishi unveiled the eagerly awaited Crowd Funding Program for our new campus, set to shape the future of IIMB. The evening also featured a captivating performance by Deepak Rao, an International ESP Specialist, leaving the audience spellbound. The presence of Prof Mukta Kulkarni from IIMB added an extra layer of prestige to the event. Pune Anusmaran

On September 9, 2023, the Pune Chapter Anusmaran event achieved tremendous success, uniting alumni and their families in record-breaking numbers. The occasion was graced by distinguished guests from the Institute, Alumni Office, and Alumni Association. Commencing with friendly introductions, attendees shared their names, graduation years, and professions, fostering a sense of camaraderie. Recognized for its active role in the broader alumni community, the Pune Chapter showcased its transformation from individual chapter activities to active participation in global initiatives, reflecting the dynamic evolution of alumni engagement. The event concluded with heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished guests, alumni, and their families for their attendance, acknowledging the effort made by attendees to join from various corners of Pune. Special recognition was extended to the Ramee Grand team for impeccable arrangements and the Managing Committee Members for their dedicated efforts in making Anusmaran 2023 an unforgettable occasion. The celebration continued with a joyous cake-cutting ceremony, group photos, and a dinner to further facilitate interactions among attendees. Anusmaran Chennai

The Anusmaran Chennai event unfolded on September 9, 2023, at the prestigious Madras Gymkhana Club, with over 100 participants. Hosted by IIMBAA Chennai, the Anusmaran 2023 event was a grand affair featuring Chess Coach Grandmaster RB Ramesh as the Distinguished Speaker. Prof. Sourav Mukherji, Dean of Alumni Relations & Development at IIMB, and Deepu Chandran, VP of IIMBAA, also graced the occasion, sharing insightful thoughts on behalf of their respective organizations. Grandmaster Ramesh delivered a captivating talk on India’s Chess journey and the promising future of the sport, while an engaging quiz, hosted by alumnus Aravind Santhanam, crowned Shoeb Shaik IRS as the champion. The evening’s energy was sustained by a talented DJ, facilitating alumni networking, storytelling, and enjoyment of delicious food and beverages. Anusmaran Hyderabad

On September 2, 2023, Hyderabad witnessed a splendid gathering as the IIM Bangalore Alumni Association (IIMBAA) celebrated #Anusmaran2023 at Fisherman’s Wharf. Over 200 alumni and their families came together to mark both this annual event and the golden jubilee year of IIMB. Prof. Sourav Mukherji, Head of Alumni Relations at IIMB, and Anshuman, VP of Operations at IIMBAA, shared campus updates and plans for the Golden Jubilee celebrations. Prof. MR Rao, Ex-Director of IIMB, graced the event, adding a touch of nostalgia. The evening at Fisherman’s Wharf was vibrant, with attendees donning black, red, or gold attire to honor IIMB’s legacy. ‘Star Awards’ recognized outstanding Hyderabad alumni, and past office bearers were acknowledged for their efforts. The evening featured humor, music, and a stand-up comedy show by Sridhar Venkatraman, an IIMB PGP alumnus, followed by melodious tunes by Sandeep Kelkar. Sponsored by Beforest and supported by alumni partners, the event emphasized alumni involvement in the IIMB community, kicking off the golden jubilee celebrations.

Anusmaran Kochi

The official launch of the new ‘Kochi chapter’ was announced during the Anusmaran event on August 30, 2023. The event featured various engaging activities that united alumni, fostering connections and sharing captivating anecdotes about the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. It kicked off with a networking session where alumni participated in an IIMB-focused trivia challenge, sparking the exchange of numerous captivating stories and experiences. A panel discussion followed, setting the stage for a highly anticipated keynote address by Mr. Hibi Eden, a distinguished Member of Parliament of Ernakulam. The ceremony reached its zenith with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom, performed by esteemed dignitaries, including Professor Mr. Sourav Mukherji, the Dean of Alumni Relations & Development. During the event, Harish Mittal, President of IIMBAA, introduced the interim office bearers of the new chapter and paid tribute to senior alumni from the revered batches of the 1970s and 1980s. The celebratory spirit was further enhanced by a captivating musical performance by a band, followed by a delectable dinner. The newly appointed office bearers will serve in interim roles until official elections are conducted, and the chapter is granted its official charter, expected within the next 3-6 months. Heartfelt appreciation goes out to all participants, organizers, and attendees for contributing to the success of this memorable inauguration and celebration, laying a robust foundation for the new Kochi chapter’s journey, with exciting prospects ahead. Their collective support and dedication are acknowledged with gratitude, and the anticipation of continued support is cherished.
