IIM Bangalore Launches Digital Archives Initiative

IIM Bangalore formally launched its Archives in digital form on 6 February 2026, marking a significant step in preserving and documenting the Institute’s institutional legacy.
Conceived in 2017, the IIMB Archives aim to serve as a dynamic repository of the Institute’s history, bringing together documents, photographs, audio-visual materials, artefacts, and records that trace its evolution since inception. The initiative also seeks to contextualise IIMB’s journey within the broader development of India’s business ecosystem and the city of Bangalore.
A key component is the Oral History Project, which captures the lived experiences of early contributors through curated interviews and archival research. The Archives also house materials from IIMB’s Golden Jubilee, including publications and commemorative works.
Designed for researchers, students, alumni, and the wider public, the Archives can be accessed at https://www.iimb.ac.in/archives/.
