Reunions at IIMB
Ruby Anniversary Reunion: Batch of 1986

The IIM Bangalore Class of 1986 returned to campus to celebrate their 40th (Ruby) Reunion—marking four decades of shared journeys, enduring friendships, and collective legacy. Aptly themed “IMprints: 40 & Forever,” the reunion was both a celebration of the past and a reflection on the paths shaped since their time at the Institute.
Held over February 28 and March 1, 2026, the two-day gathering brought together alumni from across geographies, united by memories of a formative time that continues to influence their lives and careers. The reunion opened with informal meet-and-greet sessions, allowing batchmates to reconnect, followed by a series of thoughtfully curated engagements including addresses by NSRCEL leadership and the Institute’s Director—offering perspectives on IIMB’s evolving journey and its future direction.
A highlight of the event was the interaction between alumni and current students, creating a meaningful bridge between generations. These conversations reflected not only how much has changed over the years, but also what has remained constant—the values, curiosity, and sense of community that define the IIMB experience.
The celebrations continued into the evening with a gala dinner set amidst the campus, where stories were revisited, milestones were shared, and friendships reaffirmed. The following day began with quieter, reflective moments—a campus trail walk, shared meals, and conversations that carried both nostalgia and renewed connection.
More than a reunion, the gathering was a reminder of the lasting imprint of the Class of 1986—not just on each other, but on the larger IIMB community. Forty years on, their journey stands as a testament to the enduring power of relationships, shared experiences, and the passage of time that only deepens both.
