IIMB Orators Club Event – Youth Leadership Programme, June 2026
Finding Their Voice: Reflections from YLP 2026

For eight weeks, a group of young learners came together every weekend with a shared goal—to become more confident communicators and effective leaders. What they discovered along the way was far more meaningful: the courage to express themselves, the confidence to take initiative, and the ability to connect with others through the power of communication.
The IIMB Orators Club’s Youth Leadership Program (YLP) 2026, designed for children of IIM Bangalore alumni aged 14–18, concluded after an enriching eight-week journey of learning, mentorship, and personal growth. Through speeches, leadership roles, evaluations, collaborative activities, and guided reflection, participants were encouraged to step beyond their comfort zones and unlock their potential.
Designed to nurture communication, leadership, critical thinking, and self-confidence, YLP provides a unique platform for young learners to develop skills that extend well beyond the classroom. Over the course of the programme, participants learned not only how to communicate effectively but also how to listen actively, think independently, collaborate with peers, and lead with purpose.
What makes YLP truly special is the transformation it enables. For some participants, the journey began with overcoming stage fright. For others, it meant learning to articulate ideas clearly, taking on leadership responsibilities, or discovering newfound confidence in their abilities. Along the way, they formed friendships, built trust, and became part of a supportive community that encouraged growth and self-expression.
The true measure of YLP’s impact lies in the experiences of those who lived it. As the programme concluded, participants and parents reflected on a journey marked by growth, confidence, friendships, and self-discovery.

“If a program makes a teenager excited about traveling 21 kilometres on a Sunday morning for eight Sundays straight, there must be something fantastic about the way YLP has been organized and delivered.” – Pranjal Swarup, Parent of Aarika Dayal
Over the course of eight weeks, YLP became much more than a leadership programme. It became a space where young people discovered their strengths, learned to communicate with conviction, and gained the confidence to lead.
As another successful edition comes to a close, the stories shared by participants and parents stand as a testament to the programme’s enduring impact. Together, they reflect the spirit of YLP—a journey that helps young minds find their voice, develop leadership skills, and prepare to navigate the future with confidence, empathy, and purpose.
As YLP 2026 concludes, the IIMB Orators Club celebrates not only the achievements of this year’s cohort but also the continued success of a programme that is helping shape the next generation of leaders, one voice at a time.
