Dr. Nitin R. Gokarn Appointed Chairman of National Road Safety Board

Dr. Nitin R. Gokarn (PGPPM 2006) has been appointed Chairman of the National Road Safety Board (NRSB) by the Government of India. Constituted under the Motor Vehicles Act, the Board is tasked with advising the Centre and states on road safety standards, policy, traffic management and strategies to reduce road fatalities across the country.
A retired IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, Dr. Gokarn has held several senior leadership positions during his distinguished career in public administration, including serving as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In his new role, he will lead the Board in advancing evidence-based road safety initiatives and strengthening collaboration among governments, experts and other stakeholders to improve road safety nationwide.
Sameer Suneja Joins Samsonite Group Board as Independent Director

Sameer Suneja (PGP 1987) has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Samsonite Group S.A., bringing more than three decades of global leadership experience in the consumer goods industry.
Suneja currently serves as Group Chief Executive Officer of Perfetti Van Melle, a position he has held since 2013. During his nearly three-decade association with the company, he has played a key role in driving global growth, innovation and business transformation, having previously served as Executive Vice President โ Global Innovations and Business Development and Managing Director for India. Before joining Perfetti Van Melle, he held brand management roles at Frito-Lay and Colgate-Palmolive.
His appointment strengthens Samsonite’s Board with extensive expertise in brand management, innovation and international market expansion as the company continues to expand its global travel and lifestyle business.

Prabha Narasimhan (PGP 1997) has been ranked No. 29 in Fortune India’s 100 Most Powerful Women 2026 list, recognising her leadership as Managing Director and CEO of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd.
Since taking over the role, Prabha has led the company through a phase of innovation-led growth and premiumisation, strengthening its leadership in the oral care market. Under her leadership, the company has continued to focus on science-backed products, consumer-centric innovation and long-term brand growth, reinforcing its position as one of India’s leading FMCG companies.

Priyanka Balasubramanian Receives Tamil Nadu’s Best District Collector Award
Priyanka Balasubramanian (PGP 2008), IAS, former District Collector of Thanjavur, has been conferred the Best District Collector Award (2025) by the Government of Tamil Nadu for her exemplary service in the Department for Welfare of Differently Abled Persons. The honour recognises her outstanding contribution to inclusive governance and public service during her tenure as District Collector, particularly her efforts to strengthen welfare initiatives and improve access to government services for persons with disabilities.
An engineer by training, Priyanka completed the PGP at IIM Bangalore before joining the Indian Administrative Service. Over the years, she has held several key administrative positions in Tamil Nadu, earning recognition for her people-centric approach to governance and her commitment to improving public service delivery. The award reflects the state’s appreciation of her leadership in advancing inclusive development and delivering citizen-focused governance with empathy, efficiency and accountability.
Alok Sinha Appointed Managing Director โ Legal, India at FedEx

Alok Sinha (PGP 2012) has been appointed Managing Director โ Legal, India at FedEx, where he will lead the company’s legal function in India and support its strategic growth initiatives.
Alok brings extensive experience in corporate legal strategy, commercial contracts, compliance, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory affairs. Before joining FedEx, he spent nearly 13 years at Unilever, where he held several leadership positions, including Regional Legal Head โ West and Senior Legal Counsel. Earlier in his career, he was with Jyothy Laboratories, where he built expertise in litigation, compliance, product regulations and post-merger integration.
In his new role, Alok will partner with business leadership to drive legal strategy and governance, supporting FedEx’s continued growth in India.
George N. L. Elevated to Vice President โ Retail Business at Subisu

George N. L. (EGMP 2025) has been elevated to Vice President โ Retail Business at Subisu Limited, one of Nepal’s leading internet and digital services providers.
George joined Subisu in 2022 as Associate Vice President โ Retail and was subsequently entrusted with establishing and leading the company’s Customer Experience function as Associate Vice President โ Customer Experience. In his new role, he will lead the retail business and support the company’s continued growth in Nepal’s digital connectivity and broadband market.
With more than three decades of leadership experience, George has built a distinguished career across strategy, sales, marketing, operations and customer experience. Prior to joining Subisu, he held leadership roles at organisations including Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications, Reliance Retail, Sun Direct, Godrej and Bright Starts.
