Sonjoy Chatterjee to head the of business Goldman Sachs, India
Sonjoy Chatterjee, PGP 1994, chairman, and co-chief executive of Goldman Sachs in India, will become the sole head of the business in the country, the bank’s spokesman said.
He takes over the position post the retirement of Vijay Karnani. We Congratulate Mr. Sonjoy Chatterjee and wish him luck.

Amrapali Kata – Serving the Nation
IIM Bangalore alumna Mrs. Amrapali Kata (PGP ’04 – ’06) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat as her deputation in central service of Government of India. She is an officer of the Indian Administrative Services of the 2010 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. She is the first lady IAS officer to be appointed to the newly formed Warangal Urban district in Telangana. Mrs. Kata holds a BTech in Civil Engineering from IIT Madras. Subsequently, she pursued her MBA from IIM Bangalore.

Jyoti Sharma invited as a speaker at TEDMED
Jyoti Sharma, Water conservationist, Alum of PGP 92, has been invited to speak on the esteemed TEDMED platform on her views on water scarcity and social well being.
Jyoti Sharma is committed to improving the health and well-being of communities across India by facilitating social innovations that improve water security and sanitation. After being confronted with an intractable problem in her community—water scarcity—Jyoti fused her economics and business background to address a key healthcare concern she witnessed all around her— ailments related to water insecurity. In 2004, she founded the FORCE Group of Nonprofits with an interdisciplinary approach to addressing water conservation. A nationally acclaimed organization, FORCE brings access to clean water in communities, reducing the burden of disease. Jyoti is an Economics Honors graduate from Delhi University, an Ashoka Fellow, an IIMB Alumnus’92 and a 2016 Taubman Fellow and Social Entrepreneur in Residence at Brown University. She has been nominated to several policy-making and advisory committees for Water Conservation, Safe Water and Sanitation of the Indian Union and State Governments. Jyoti has authored articles for international publications in addition to authoring the book, Effective Social Innovation.

IIMB Alumni Chennai Bags the Runners Up Trophy – Alumni Cricket League
IIMB Alumni, Chennai were the Runners up in the Alumni Cricket League held in Chennai. These participants for this cricket league were teams from various Premier Business School Alumni and IIT Alumni. A total of ten teams participated in this tournament league. PN Subramanian, XLRI Alumni, handed over the Fr. Tome Memorial Runners up the trophy to the proud IIMB Alumni recipients.
