IIMB Alumni Nagendra Drives QpiAI to Secure $6.5M Pre-Series A Funding

Nagendra, an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) from the MPEFB 2009 batch, has played a pivotal role in QpiAI’s recent achievement of securing $6.5 million in pre-Series A funding. This funding round, led by Yournest and SIDBI Venture Capital, aims to advance intelligence modeling and computation leveraging quantum computing technologies. Nagendra’s strategic insights and leadership at QpiAI are instrumental in driving innovation and growth in this emerging field. His contributions underscore the strong impact of IIMB alumni in shaping cutting-edge advancements in technology and business.


Ethics Workshops Conducted for PGP2 Reorientation

On June 3rd, as part of the PGP 2022-24 reorientation, Professors Vasanthi Srinivasan and Sourav Mukherji from the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area, along with Prof. Prateek Raj from Strategy, conducted workshops focusing on Ethics. This initiative aimed to enrich students’ understanding and application of ethical principles in their academic and professional pursuits. The workshops, led by esteemed faculty members, provided a valuable platform for participants to engage deeply with ethical frameworks and challenges, fostering a culture of ethical awareness and responsibility among the PGP2 cohort.


IIM Bangalore Unveils Distinguished Alumni Awards for 2024

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has announced its Distinguished Alumni Awards for 2024, recognizing alumni who have excelled in fields such as industry, management, entrepreneurship, research, academia, and social service. Established in 2007, these awards honor outstanding achievements with citations and inclusion on the institute’s Wall of Fame.

The awards were presented during the inauguration of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP). A selection committee comprising the Director, Dean of Alumni Relations, faculty members, the President of IIMB Alumni Association, and past DAA recipients meticulously reviewed nominations. Criteria included career impact, leadership qualities, and contributions to society and industry.

The distinguished alumni awardees for 2024 are Hemant K Bhargava (PGP 1986), T Koshy (PGP 1989), Prabha Narasimhan (PGP 1997), and Praveen Sood (PGPPM 2005). Their achievements highlight IIMB’s commitment to nurturing global leaders across diverse sectors.
