IIMB achieves Record-Breaking Placements for Largest Graduating Batch, Driving Industry Leadership

IIM Bangalore’s PGP and PGPBA Class of 2023-25 achieved unprecedented placement success, securing over 650 strategic job offers for its largest graduating batch of 595 students. This accomplishment, involving 176 firms, underscores the institute’s robust industry connections and the high caliber of its graduates, poised to become future industry leaders. Notably, Management Consulting emerged as the top career choice, attracting 41% of the total offers, followed by Technology/Product Management and Investment Banking, reflecting the students’ adaptability to evolving market demands. The placement process, conducted amidst a challenging global job market, set new benchmarks in both offer volume and sectoral diversity. IIMB’s Career Development Services, led by Professor Nishant Kumar Verma, emphasized the fruitful collaborations with both established and new recruiters, with approximately 30% of participating firms being first-time recruiters, signaling IIMB’s expanding industry influence. A record of over 100 lateral placement offers were also secured, which is the highest amongst the top B-schools in India, signifying the high demand for experienced IIMB graduates.
Notable recruiters included Accenture Strategy (75 offers), Boston Consulting Group (25 offers), and American Express (20 offers), among others. The diverse range of sectors, including FMCG, Retail, E-commerce, and Healthcare, underscores the broad applicability of IIMB graduates’ strategic skills. The Student Placement Committee acknowledged the strong participation from both legacy and first-time recruiters, signifying the trust placed in IIMB students and their potential to drive innovation across industries. This remarkable placement season reinforces IIMB’s position as a leading institution for management education, shaping the future of business.
