About the Author

Mukesh Sharma has completed his EPGP from IIM Bangalore and holds an engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering. He is described as a global automotive expert with over 25 years of experience spanning India, Japan, and China.

Currently, Mukesh Sharma leads Tech Mahindra’s business in Greater China. His work focuses on the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) revolution in China, driving digital transformation for OEMs, AI-led manufacturing, and EV ecosystems.

Before his current role, he worked with major automotive companies like Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors. He has a track record of delivering strategic outcomes, including P&L growth, digital monetization, and M&A integrations for Fortune 500 clients.  

Mukesh Sharma is also a respected voice in automotive disruption, having authored SAE publications and curated TEDx platforms in China. His work centers on enabling companies to transition from hardware-driven to software-powered enterprises to remain competitive in the evolving mobility landscape.
