NSRCEL HOSTS ‘SUMMIT UP’ ON DECEMBER 10-11: THE TWO-DAY EVENT FOCUSED ON TOPICS LIKE SCALING BUSINESSES, BEING FIRST-TIME FOUNDERS AND BUILDING A BRAND

NSRCEL, the incubation and innovation hub of IIMB, hosted ‘Summit Up’, a two-day Women Entrepreneurship Summit, on December 10th and 11th, 2021. The initiative provided a platform for knowledge sharing and networking to women entrepreneurs with NSRCEL-IIMB mentors and fellow entrepreneurs. The summit included thought-provoking sessions where speakers touched upon scaling businesses, being first-time founders and building a brand.

Themes included ‘first-time founder’, ‘entrepreneurship as a second stint post motherhood’, ‘raising money and a family’, ‘building a brand’, ‘women in STEM’, and ‘making an impact through entrepreneurship’. Dr. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director IIMB, Sonjoy Chatterjee, Chairman and Chief Executive of Goldman Sachs India, and Dr. Suresh Bhagavatula, faculty in the Entrepreneurship area of IIMB and Academic Director – Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women at NSRCEL, addressed the participants.

7th Biennial Supply Chain Management Conference

The 7th Biennial Supply Chain Management Conference will be held on December 17-18, 2021 at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Organized by the Supply Chain Management Centre(SCMC), a Centre of Excellence at IIM-B, the conference provides a platform for both academic researchers and practitioners.

The conference theme is ‘Post-pandemic Supply Chains: Innovations and New Paradigms’.  The COVID crisis has demonstrated the frailty of even the best managed Supply Chains, measuring supply chain performance on the basis of efficiency, cost, and customer service may not be enough in the coming times. An important yardstick to measure supply chain performance will also be its resiliency and its ability to bounce back from any unfathomed disruption. The conference will showcase the most recent innovations, trends, concerns, practical challenges and the solutions adopted in the field of Supply Chain Management post Covid Pandemic.

TEDxIIMBangalore – Not Business as Usual

Forum for Industrial Interaction (FII) conducted TEDxIIMBangalore on 23rd December, 2021 under the theme “Not Business as Usual”. The event hosted a line-up of speakers including Prakash Belawadi (actor & director), Arjun Majumdar (founder & CEO, Indiahikes), Gaurav Goel (founder & CEO, Samagra), Ramesh Swamy (founding trustee – SGBS Unnatti Foundation) and Dr. Rajkumar Pant (Professor, IIT Bombay). They discussed their views on these unprecedented times, their journey so far and how the business world has innovated its way through these challenges.
