IIMB celebrates Independence Day 2025

Independence Day at IIM Bangalore was celebrated with warmth and high energy as the tricolour was unfurled on campus. In his address, Professor U Dinesh Kumar, Director In-charge, reminded the community that compassion, dignity, and respect must remain central in today’s world of uncertainty. He also reflected on IIMB’s role in shaping the nation, highlighting recent milestones such as the launch of undergraduate programmes, the establishment of India’s first centre for private equity and venture capital research, and initiatives in sustainability.

The day honoured members of the IIMB community who went beyond their roles, with awards presented to staff, faculty, and the security team. Adding vibrancy to the occasion, students performed patriotic songs, dances, and a street play, while children from the IIMB family lifted spirits with their enthusiastic singing. The celebration reflected not just national pride but also the institute’s culture of inclusivity and shared purpose.
