Hitesh Wadhwa IIMB alumnus named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum 2021

As part of the Young Global Leaders Class of 2021, Hitesh joins the world’s most promising 112 Young Global Leaders under the age of 40, and a prestigious network of high profile individuals who head governments and Fortune 500 companies

Hitesh Wadhwa, an alumnus of the 2014 batch of IIM Bangalore’s one-year MBA, Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), who is currently Global Business Leader & Technology Executive at Tech Mahindra, has been named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum (WEF). 

The world’s most driven researchers, innovative entrepreneurs, activists and promising political leaders between the ages of 30 and 40 are joining the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders Class of 2021.

The class of 2021 is gender-equal and has representatives from 56 countries. Members will take part in a five-year programme, which offers executive education courses, expeditions and opportunities to collaborate and test ideas among a trusted network of peers.

Hitesh works with Tech Mahindra as Vice President – Communications, Media and Entertainment vertical. In his role, he leads and manages various strategic accounts and initiatives for the firm. He has been instrumental in growing the company’s revenues by several million dollars over the last few years. He is part of the company’s Global Leadership Cadre and Shadow Board program, a team comprising 6 young leaders that shadow the company’s board of directors on various strategic initiatives. As a Shadow Board member, he runs various impact programs panning across digital transformation, diversity, culture and sustainability.

Before his stint at TechM, he has worked with Verizon and CSC (now called DXC Technology) in various technology and leadership roles.

He is B.Tech in Electronics from Thapar University, Patiala, and MBA from IIM Bangalore. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and 2 kids.
