IIM Bangalore Retains No. 1 Position in Eduniversal Rankings, Secures 5 Palmes Emeritus and Gold Trophy

IIM Bangalore has reaffirmed its status as a leading global management institution by retaining the No. 1 rank in India and Central Asia at the 18th Eduniversal World Convention, held at IIM Indore. The institute received the prestigious 5 Palmes Emeritus distinction—an honour granted to schools that have remained in the top tier for over a decade—along with the Gold Trophy for achieving the highest Dean’s Recommendation rate of 341%.
This recognition places IIMB among a select group of just two Indian institutions with the 5 Palmes Emeritus status, underscoring the institute’s sustained excellence in academics, research, and global engagement. Director In-charge Prof. Dinesh Kumar and Dean of Programmes Prof. Mukta Kulkarni accepted the awards, noting the institute’s commitment to continuous reinvention and meaningful impact.
IIMB’s consistent performance across FT, Bloomberg Businessweek, and QS rankings further strengthens its position as one of India’s most respected business schools.
India’s First All-Women Masters Beach Ultimate Team, Led by IIMB’s Prof. Sreelata, Heads to the World Stage

India is set to script history at the World Beach Ultimate Championships in Portugal with the nation’s first all-women Masters team, captained by Prof. Sreelata Jonnalagedda from the Marketing area at IIM Bangalore. The team brings together professionals, artists, educators, and entrepreneurs united by a shared passion for Frisbee and the confidence to compete at a global level.
Prof. Sreelata highlights the unique camaraderie within the team, noting that the spirit of sisterhood and the ability to take on diverse roles strengthens their resolve. Training rigorously under the Chennai sun, the squad is preparing for its international debut with determination and pride.
Beyond the field, Prof. Sreelata is known for her work in market design, freemium pricing, and digital marketing, examining how incentive structures shape buyer–seller dynamics. Her leadership on and off the field exemplifies excellence, teamwork, and the power of representation in sport.
