IIM Bangalore PGPEM Students Triumph in National Product Management Challenge

A dynamic trio of second-year students from the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) at IIM Bangalore, Vishesh Garg, Gourav Kumar, and Naveen Rathani, have achieved national acclaim by winning ProdWhiz, IIM Indore’s prestigious product management case competition. Held from January 20th to February 16th, the competition presented a realistic challenge: developing a comprehensive strategy for InnovAI, a generative AI-powered productivity assistant. Participants were required to devise a strategic product roadmap, a robust governance framework, and a scalable growth plan targeting corporate professionals and small business owners. The IIMB team’s winning formula involved meticulous user segmentation, the strategic prioritization of key features, and the development of a sustainable monetization model. Their ability to articulate structured, data-driven product growth and market execution strategies proved decisive. This victory underscores the team’s exceptional capabilities in navigating complex, real-world product management scenarios, and further highlights the practical, industry-relevant education provided by the IIMB PGPEM program.


IIM Bangalore Scholar Earns Top Honor at National Entrepreneurship Conference

A doctoral candidate from IIM Bangalore’s Entrepreneurship program, Charu Rastogi, has been recognized with the Best Paper Award at the 16th Biennial Conference on Entrepreneurship, hosted by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. Her research, titled “Path Creation through Imagination: The Case of Pioneering Entrepreneurs in India,” stood out among a competitive field of over 120 presentations. This collaborative work, which forms part of her doctoral dissertation, was co-authored with IIMB’s NSRCEL Chairperson, Professor Srivardhini K. Jha, and Professor Sanjay Jain of CSU Northridge. The study delves into the role of imaginative thinking in the creation of new entrepreneurial pathways within the Indian context. Rastogi’s achievement underscores the high caliber of research being conducted at IIM Bangalore and highlights the impact of her scholarly contributions to the field of entrepreneurship. Being selected as one of only five recipients of this prestigious award signifies the paper’s exceptional quality and significant contribution to the conference.
