Exploring IP Valuation and Sustainable Transformation
A truly enriching and transformative experience awaited a group of 35 Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) students as they embarked on a remarkable two-week international immersion at the prestigious Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (SBS-EM), housed within the esteemed Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). This immersive program was thoughtfully designed to immerse participants in the complexities of “Doing Business in the European Union,” providing them with invaluable insights into the intricate dynamics of international commerce.
Founded in 1903 by the visionary Ernest Solvay, the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management has remained committed to the noble mission of promoting “Freedom of thinking.” Under the guidance of this venerable institution, students delved into a meticulously curated curriculum that illuminated various facets of the European Union market. These sessions were facilitated by esteemed experts who not only imparted enlightening knowledge but also shared their extensive practical experience, making the learning process both illuminating and highly informative. This international immersion experience undoubtedly broadened the horizons of the EPGP students, equipping them with a deeper understanding of the global business landscape and fostering a spirit of curiosity and exploration.
Exploring the Heart of the German Economy
A group of forty students from IIM Bangalore’s EPGP Class of 2024, accompanied by Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, embarked on a two-week educational journey to ESCP Berlin Campus on August 21, 2023. ESCP, established in 1819 as the world’s first business school, has a global presence with campuses in Berlin, Paris, Madrid, Turin, Warsaw, and London. During their visit, the students received valuable insights into Germany’s macroeconomic factors and the concept of Mittelstands, which are adaptable and successful businesses. They also explored the application of VR technology in manufacturing at Alstom and delved into sustainability and tech entrepreneurship. Their trip concluded with a visit to ‘Motion Lab,’ a startup incubator in Berlin, where they interacted with founders from various sectors, gaining exposure to innovative projects and solutions.
