Professor Ludvig Levasseur Nominated for Best Paper Award in Entrepreneurial Cognition
Professor Ludvig Levasseur from IIM Bangalore’s Entrepreneurship Area has been nominated for the Best Paper Award in Entrepreneurial Cognition by the Academy of Management’s MOC Division. The paper, co-authored with Prof. Masoud Karami (Otago Business School), Prof. Sai Kalubandi (IIMB), Apurva Sanaria, and Dr. Bhuvanesh Pareek (Google), explores time perspective and entrepreneurial alertness.
Sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the award recognizes innovative research with practical implications for economic and social inefficiencies.
Prof. Levasseur’s research interests include mixed methods, family business, and venture capital. He serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Perspectives, Venture Capital, and Small Business Economics, and has published in numerous prestigious journals.
Professor Rusha Das Shortlisted for Best Doctorate Award by Academy of Management
Professor Rusha Das from IIMB’s Public Policy area has been shortlisted for the Academy of Management’s Critical Management Studies Best Doctorate Award in the Highly Commended category. Her doctoral research, “Changes in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulation in India: Exploring the Political Dynamics from a Neo-Gramscian Perspective,” delves into the political intricacies of EIA regulation changes in India.
Prof. Das’s study highlights the contentious nature of EIA processes, involving stakeholders with diverse power, interests, and beliefs. She obtained her PhD from IIM Ahmedabad and was honored with the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for a Research Fellowship at the Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy, Graduate Institute Geneva.
Her research interests include environmental politics, policymaking, and governance, utilizing diverse qualitative methods.
Professor Sandeep Yadav Nominated for 2024 Rugman Most Promising Scholar Award
Professor Sandeep Yadav from the Strategy area at IIMB, and Young Faculty Research Chair, has been nominated for the 2024 Rugman Most Promising Scholar Award by the Academy of International Business (AIB). He will present his paper, “When Does Starting Unregistered Impact Foreign Entry Speed? Evidence From Developing Country SMEs,” at the AIB 2024 Conference in Seoul from July 2-6.
Prof. Yadav’s research explores the factors affecting the speed at which small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from developing countries enter foreign markets, especially when they start without formal registration. His study provides insights into the unique challenges and strategies of these firms, benefiting policymakers and business leaders.
Prof. Yadav focuses on internationalization processes and challenges faced by emerging market firms. His work highlights the importance of timing in strategic decision-making and examines the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in multinational firms.
