Dr. Rusha Das Invited as Visiting Scholar at Exeter Centre for Environmental Law and Business School

Dr. Rusha Das, Public Policy area faculty at IIM Bangalore, has been invited as a Visiting Scholar by the Exeter Centre for Environmental Law (ExCEL) and Exeter Business School, University of Exeter, for a month-long engagement in June and July 2025.
This opportunity will allow Dr. Das to collaborate with leading scholars in environmental governance and foster institutional partnerships across law, policy, and business. Her research focus on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), the National Green Tribunal, and Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) laws aligns closely with ExCEL’s mission to advance transdisciplinary research in environmental law and policymaking.
During her visit, she will participate in research discussions, collaborative workshops, and interdisciplinary exchanges with the Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cornwall, contributing to global conversations on environmental justice and regulatory frameworks.
IIMB’s EPGP Ranks #3 Globally in Career Progress: FT MBA Rankings 2025
The Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) at IIM Bangalore has once again secured its position among the world’s top MBA programmes, ranking #57 globally in the Financial Times (FT) MBA Rankings 2025. Team Frontiers of PGPEM Wins XLRI Jamshedpur’s Case Competition

Three students from IIM Bangalore’s MBA for Working Professionals (PGPEM) — Rakesh Shanmugam, Kalpana S, and John Sundar — emerged as title winners of the XLRI Ensemble-Valhalla 2024 case competition, ‘Helios,’ held in November 2024. Competing against 431 national teams, Team Frontiers demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills in optimizing logistics efficiency for GreenWorks, a mid-size manufacturer of eco-friendly packaging materials.
Their winning solution addressed GreenWorks’ challenges with delivery delays and communication gaps due to reliance on small-scale suppliers and third-party logistics (3PL) fleets. The team proposed IoT-based tracking, cellular solutions, and API integrations leveraging platforms such as ULIP, VAHAN, and FASTag to enable real-time tracking without additional investments.
Additionally, they recommended local warehouse collaborations, supplier integration portals, and multimodal transportation to enhance operational efficiency. Their tech-enabled solutions and strategic recommendations secured them the title, showcasing their expertise in supply chain optimization and innovative thinking.
PGPEM Team Wins Top Honors at IIM Bodh Gaya’s Encased 1.0

Three students from the Year-2 cohort of IIM Bangalore’s MBA for Working Professionals (PGPEM) — Vishesh Garg, Gourav Kumar, and Naveen Rathani — clinched first place at Encased 1.0, an entrepreneurship case competition hosted by E-Cell, IIM Bodh Gaya, during Elegante 8.0.
The competition, held from January 2 to January 26, challenged 283 participants to devise solutions for a real-world problem faced by an emerging home services startup in Dharbhanga, Bihar. Spanning three intense rounds, it evaluated participants’ creativity, analytical thinking, and strategic problem-solving.
The winning team impressed the jury with their thorough market research on tier-2 and tier-3 cities in Bihar, a comprehensive understanding of India’s home services ecosystem, and a practical yet innovative solution aligned with the startup’s goals. Their approach demonstrated a balance of market insight and strategic execution, securing them the top spot.
PGPEM Team Wins Top Honors at IIM Kozhikode’s PowerUp Strategy Challenge

Three students from IIM Bangalore’s MBA for Working Executives (PGPEM) — Mukesh Narasimhan, Nachimuthu K, and Pravinkumar Palanisamy — secured the national win at ‘PowerUp: A Strategic Growth Challenge’, hosted by IIM Kozhikode from 19 December 2024 to 5 January 2025.
Competing against top teams, Team Quantum Thinkers collaborated with a leading renewable energy player to craft a sustainable growth strategy focused on:
- Scaling solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects
- Advancing battery storage and green hydrogen production
- Expanding into new geographies and forming strategic partnerships
- Leveraging government incentives like Production Linked Incentive (PLI) and Viability Gap Funding (VGF)
The team’s innovative and impactful approach secured them the top spot. Reflecting on their success, the Year-1 cohort remarked, “This achievement highlights India’s immense talent and the culture of innovation fostered at IIM Bangalore.”
PGPEM Team Wins Top Spot at SIBM Bengaluru’s Eximius 3.0

A team of second-year students from IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) — Naveen Rathani, Ranabir Dey, Gourav Kumar, and Vishesh Garg — secured first place at Eximius 3.0, the flagship business case competition of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Bengaluru, held from 27 December 2024 to 19 January 2025.
The competition attracted 380 participants who competed across three rigorous rounds that tested entrepreneurial acumen and decision-making skills. The IIMB team analyzed a struggling e-retailer with limited runway before a potential shutdown. They identified five critical issues in the startup’s supply chain and order fulfillment strategy, addressing gaps in process mapping, resource utilization, sourcing, distribution, financing, and technology.
Their comprehensive future-state value stream provided a well-defined roadmap for business revival within the crucial three-month period, securing them the top honors at the event.
