CEOs and Aspiring CEOs Conclave on 17th Nov 2018 – IIMBAA Delhi Chapter

IIMB Alumni Association, Delhi Chapter organised CEO’s conclave on Sat, 17th Nov at the India Habitat Center .The event started with key note talk by  Dr. KP Krishnan followed by a panel discussion. He spoke about the structural challenges facing institutions wherein the functions of adjudication, policy making and execution are rolled into the regulatory body. He cited many examples (eg. SEBI) where this has produced conflicts of interest and has been detrimental to the objectives of the regulatory bodies. 

This was a  mega networking event, which provided  alumni an opportunity to hear from a number of thought leaders from amongst themselves, and also provided a platform for networking and reconnecting with other alumni based in the region.

Speakers of the panel discussions were:

  • Rajeev Chaba, is the CEO of MG Motor, owned by SAIC. Earlier he was CEO of GM North Africa ( Egypt) India and has worked and lived in China / Japan. Was operating partner of London based private equity co in between auto jobs.
  • Satya Narayanan R. is an Indian entrepreneur, teacher, and founder of CL Educate. He is an investor in Threesixtyone Degree Minds Consulting Private Ltd (361dm) and Notesgen. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at YourNest Angel Fund and NuVeda Learning Pvt. Ltd. In 2009, Satya received the Karmaveer Puraskaar from iCONGO and most promising entrepreneur award at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards.Satya graduated from St. Stephen’s College, with a B. Sc. in Computer Science and did his management from IIM Bangalore .
  • Rajiv Prasad, is the President (India Operations) JK Tyre & Industries.. He is a Bachelor of Engineering from Zakir Hussain College of Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University, and a Post Graduate in Management from IIM, Bangalore. Prior to joining JK Tyre & Industries, he was the Senior Executive Director at Dalmia Cement. He extensive experience over a period of 33 years in various capacities at BHEL, ITC, Piramal Glass, Halonix and SCC.
  • Kapil Makhija, is the CEO, Unicommerce. He is a seasoned management professional with 11+ years of experience across e-commerce, management consulting and technology in both B2B and B2C companies. Deep expertise in growth strategy, go-to-market strategy, business planning, market assessment, customer service improvement, cost reduction, supply chain transformation and operational efficiency improvement across multiple industries (e-commerce, FMCG, retail, telecom and technology).
