Remembering Mahadevappa Avina

With heartfelt sorrow, we share the news of the passing of Mahadevappa Avina, a valued member of the PGP 1975–77 batch at IIM Bangalore.
Mahadevappa passed away earlier this year after being hospitalized at Apollo Hospital due to a cardiac arrest. His passing is a poignant reminder of the irreplaceable bonds shared by his batch, as they prepare to mark their 50th anniversary this year.
He will be remembered for his warmth, contributions, and the many friendships he nurtured during his time at IIMB. His memory will remain a part of the enduring legacy of the 1975–77 batch.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort in the love and respect he inspired in those around him.
In Memory of Nilay Kailashbhai Patel

It is with deep sorrow that IIM Bangalore mourns the untimely passing of Nilay Kailashbhai Patel, a bright and promising student from the PGP 2023-25 batch.
Nilay’s academic excellence and warm personality left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. He was not just an outstanding student but also a cherished friend, whose kindness and camaraderie enriched the lives of many within the IIMB community.
In this time of grief, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Nilay’s family and friends. We ask for respect, understanding, and privacy as they navigate this difficult period.
