Remembering Professor Ramesh G.: A Respected Scholar and Member of the IIMB Community

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Professor Ramesh G., a respected member of the Centre for Public Policy and a valued part of the IIM Bangalore community. Professor Ramesh joined the Institute as Visiting Faculty on 20 November 2003 in the Finance & Control Area, and over the years, became known for his insightful perspectives on public policy, politics, and society.

He was an engaging scholar with a distinctive voice, whose thoughtful reflections enriched the Public Policy programme and shaped countless discussions. His intellectual curiosity, commitment to learning, and generous spirit made him a mentor to many and a colleague held in high regard.

IIMB extends its heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time. Professor Ramesh will be remembered with respect and affection for his scholarship, his energy, and his enduring contributions to the Institute. May his soul rest in peace.


In Remembrance of Ankur Arora, Scholar and FPM Alumnus

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Ankur Arora on Saturday, December 13. Ankur was an FPM graduate of the 2013 cohort and completed his doctoral research in the then Quantitative Methods and Information Systems (QMIS) area—now known as the Decision Sciences area—under the guidance of Professor Rajluxmi Murthy.

Ankur will be remembered as a committed scholar and a valued member of the IIMB academic community. His time at the Institute was marked by intellectual curiosity, dedication to his research, and warm relationships with peers and faculty alike.

On behalf of the entire IIM Bangalore community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
