Bombay Stock Exchange names Dr. Padmini Srinivas as Public Interest Director

Dr. Padmini Srinivasan, Head of the Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship and Professor in the Finance and Accounting Department at IIM Bangalore, has been named Public Interest Director of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) with effect from February 14th, 2023.

Dr. Srinivasan is a Doctorate from National Law School, Bangalore. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.


Dr. Allen P. Ugargol receives the esteemed Yusuf Hamied Fellowship

The prestigious “Yusuf Hamied Fellowship” 2022–2023 has been awarded to Dr. Allen P. Ugargol for his proposal titled, “Aging and the Lifecourse Perspective of Older Adults.” Dr. Ugargol is the chair of IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), a two-year MBA for Working Professionals.

In order to gain an understanding of the numerous facets of aging in India, the research will concentrate on the life course trajectory of older persons and will chronicle current inequities, difficulties, and gaps in geriatric care. Also, the study will offer policy suggestions to enhance geriatric care delivery systems and health outcomes for this demographic subgroup.


Shubham Sharma, EGMP Participant, wins PR & Corp Comm Award

Shubham Sharma, Head of Marketing and Public Relations at 4baseCare Onco Solutions, a precision oncology company, and participant in the Executive General Management Programme (EGMP Batch 62) at IIM Bangalore, was named one of the ’40 Under 40′ in the 4th Edition of the exchange4media PR & Corp Comm Awards. This award honours young professionals in the fields of public relations and corporate communications. Mr Sharma attributes this accolade to his EGMP experience at IIMB.


Ajay Kumar Agastya, PGPEM Candidate, wins case competition at IIM Indore

Agastya received first place in Precipice, the fourth edition of a national-level Case competition held by the IPM Entrepreneurship and Industry Connect Cell at IIM Indore. The Case Competition’s purpose was to produce a Go-To-Market (GTM) and Customer Success Plan for the sponsor firm. Around 260 teams took part in the competition’s three phases, which comprised a quiz, a GTM Strategy Report, and a final presentation.


PGP Students rank in the Top Ten worldwide in Marico’s ‘Idea Innovation Challenge Over the Wall’ – Season 10

Team Juggernaut from IIM Bangalore has been named one of the top ten teams worldwide in Marico’s flagship ‘Idea Innovation Competition, Over The Wall’ – Season 10.

Students from PGP 2021–2023 Swetoja Patel, G V Mohana Vamshi, and Jay Patel made the team. The whole Marico Leadership Team praised their idea. “Despite having a parallel curriculum running, the initiative, creativity, detail orientation, execution excellence and business acumen exhibited by the students at such a young age is commendable.  We laud the students for going beyond and pushing the boundaries. We congratulate and thank IIMB for providing such a growth forward ecosystem in the institute,” said a communication from Marico’s senior management team.
