FinTech Innovation Center at NSRCEL Receives Major Boost from Karnataka Government

The Government of Karnataka has approved the establishment of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in FinTech at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, with a substantial investment of INR 13.24 crores over the next five years. This initiative aims to strengthen India’s FinTech ecosystem by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development. Out of the sanctioned amount, INR 8.19 crores will fund incubation and acceleration programs to nurture start-ups and entrepreneurs in the FinTech sector, while INR 5.04 crores will be allocated to skilling and training initiatives spearheaded by the IIMBx Digital Learning Foundation. The CoE is poised to empower emerging ventures, facilitate groundbreaking research, and offer advanced training programs to equip professionals and students with future-ready skills. This collaboration highlights the pivotal role of NSRCEL and IIM Bangalore in driving the state’s agenda to position itself as a global leader in FinTech innovation and entrepreneurship.
