Shaurya 2025

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) once again came alive with energy, camaraderie, and celebration as it hosted Shaurya 2025, the institute’s much-awaited annual alumni–student sports meet. Held on [dates] and organized jointly by the Sports Council, Student Alumni Committee, and Alumni Office, the event brought together over 250 alumni along with their families, spanning batches from 1996 to 2024. Shaurya continues to be a unique platform where competition, community, and culture converge, creating unforgettable experiences for everyone involved.

About Shaurya

Shaurya is more than just a sports tournament — it is a celebration of the IIMB spirit, designed to foster connections across generations while promoting fitness, teamwork, and healthy rivalry. This year, the event attracted alumni from 84 cities outside Bengaluru alongside 145 local alumni, with 70 choosing to stay overnight on campus. These overnight stays provided alumni a chance to relive campus life while students hosted them, sharing stories, memories, and laughter that bridged the gap between batches.

Event Highlights

Sports:
Shaurya 2025 featured 19 different sports, ranging from cricket, football, and basketball to badminton, kho-kho, tennis, volleyball, and swimming. The matches were marked by spirited competition, teamwork, and moments of sheer athletic brilliance. Alumni and students alike displayed determination and sportsmanship, reminding everyone that the joy of participation often outweighs the thrill of winning. Standout matches and nail-biting finishes kept the audience engaged, with cheers echoing across the campus grounds.

Cultural Experiences:
Beyond the sports arenas, Shaurya 2025 offered memorable cultural experiences. A performance by the band Maybe It’s a Jam electrified the audience, with students and alumni singing along and celebrating together. Adding a creative touch, a collaborative painting session allowed participants to express themselves artistically, forging connections in a different, playful way. The cultural activities, paired with the energetic competitions, reflected the multifaceted nature of the IIMB community.
