SPARSH 2026: A Homecoming

On 15 February 2026, the IIM Bangalore campus came alive with renewed energy as alumni returned for SPARSH 2026, the annual reunion of the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP). This year’s gathering was especially meaningful, unfolding as part of Samvay 2026, the flagship business conclave of the EPGP community — creating a powerful confluence of reflection, dialogue, and celebration.

From the moment alumni stepped back onto campus, the experience felt less like an event and more like a homecoming. Familiar walkways, iconic classrooms, and open courtyards once again became spaces of animated conversation and shared laughter. Years may have passed since graduation, but the sense of belonging remained unchanged — a reminder that some journeys never truly end.

Integrated with the larger platform of Samvay 2026, themed “Breaking the Mold: Entrepreneurship in the Age of Disruption,” the reunion carried a forward-looking momentum. The conclave brought together alumni, current participants, faculty, and industry voices for engaging discussions on innovation, leadership, and navigating complexity in an evolving business landscape. The theme resonated deeply with the EPGP ethos — challenging conventions, embracing change, and leading with courage in uncertain times.

For alumni, SPARSH offered the unique opportunity to reconnect not just socially, but intellectually. Many participated in conversations that bridged classroom insights with real-world application — a continuation of the learning mindset cultivated during their time at IIMB. The blending of reunion and conclave created a dynamic atmosphere where nostalgia met new ideas, and past experiences informed future possibilities.

Beyond the sessions and structured engagements, it was the human connections that defined the day. Batchmates reunited after years apart, faculty mentors reconnected with former students, and current participants engaged with alumni whose journeys now serve as inspiration. Stories of entrepreneurial ventures, global leadership roles, industry transitions, and personal milestones flowed freely — each narrative reflecting the transformative power of the EPGP experience.

SPARSH has long symbolised continuity within the EPGP community. While the programme itself spans a year, the relationships and values it nurtures extend across careers and continents. This year’s integration with Samvay underscored that enduring spirit — positioning alumni not only as graduates returning home, but as thought leaders actively shaping the conversations of today.

As the evening settled over the campus skyline, conversations lingered and goodbyes were exchanged with promises to return again. One sentiment stood clear: IIM Bangalore is not simply an institution alumni once attended — it remains a community they continue to build and belong to.

SPARSH 2026, in partnership with Samvay 2026, was more than a reunion. It was a celebration of shared journeys, evolving aspirations, and the lifelong strength of the EPGP network.
