IIMB EPGP Reunion – Sparsh 2024
IIM Bangalore’s Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore Alumni Association (IIMBAA), hosted the annual alumni meet ‘Sparsh 2024’ on 11th February 2024, marking the Golden Jubilee anniversary of the institute and the 15th year of EPGP. Notably, this year’s cohort is the first to experience full-time campus life, symbolizing a new era for EPGP.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore, along with faculty members Prof. Ashok Thampy, Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, Prof. Sourav Mukherji, and Komala Devi, AO (Hostel and Student Affairs). Prof. Krishnan outlined the institute’s expansion plans, including the establishment of a second campus at Jigani and the introduction of an undergraduate program. Prof. Thampy shed light on EPGP activities, while Prof. Mukherji discussed the IIMBAA app and the global expansion of IIMBAA chapters.
Sparsh 2024 facilitated interactions between alumni, faculty, and current students through various activities, including a panel discussion on ‘Digitalization: Building a Future-ready Workforce’ moderated by Prof. Mukherji, featuring esteemed alumni Rajat Mathur, Anirban Kundu, and Pradnesh Deshmukh. Prabha Ravichandran, a retired Sr. Manager from the EPGP Office, was honored for her contributions.
The event also featured sporting events organized by the Sports Committee of EPGP, offering alumni and students opportunities for friendly competition. A campus tour allowed participants to reminisce about the past and witness the institute’s transformative journey.
The cultural night, the highlight of the event, showcased performances by the current batch and included a rapid-fire session with alumni, reminiscing about their time at IIMB and sharing international immersion experiences. Sparsh 2024 encapsulated the spirit of camaraderie and celebrated the legacy of IIM Bangalore over its illustrious 50-year history.
