VARIETY IS FLAVOUR OF THIS BUNCH: PGP 2020-22 STUDENTS @ IIMB
IIMB inducted 534 students to its PGP and its new two-year full-time Master of Business Administration (business analytics)[MBA(BA)] programmes on August 1. From a scientist at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) to a climate science researcher, the new batch at IIMB has an eclectic mix. Arihant Jain has worked for 4 years as a scientific officer at BARC in the fields of risk assessment, reliability and safety analysis of nuclear reactors and mechanical design of reactor components. Gaurav Nayak is a climate science researcher who has been on three monsoon expeditions in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Mihir Shah, a mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, as an intern in professional motorsport as a race engineer.
The students believe that time at IIMB will help them understand their fields better. “I worked as an associate producer with another idea, a production house in Mumbai. I worked on campaigns about which we were primarily briefed by advertising agencies. I am keen to learn about how and why these campaigns are rolled out, the thought behind them as well as the business conditions that lead them which I believe my experience at IIM Bangalore will help me achieve,” sad Surabhi Agarwal. In the batch is also teach for India fellow, Prathamesh Tayade.
