IIT-IIM alumnus S Gopalakrishnan appointed as additional secretary in PMO
S Gopalakrishnan, a senior Tamil Nadu cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as an additional secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office. The 1991 batch IAS officer is currently serving at the ministry of electronics where his responsibilities include issues related to e-governance, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, startups and innovation. Gopalakrishnan is an electrical engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and a postgraduate from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

Camellia launches New Breathable Masks with Triboelectricity Technology
Camellia has received an exclusive license to manufacture and market a very comfortable and effective mask that has been designed by an Indian scientific research org. CeNS, under the Dept of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The mask is now trademarked, called 3BO, inspired by the concept of Tribo-electricity which is central to the mask design. These masks are made on the concept of Triboelectricity. The ingeniously designed layers of the mask generate a small electric charge (called electroceutical charge in healthcare parlance) which is harmless to the wearer but prevents virus transmission*. Harish Mittal, PGP 1988, is the Founder and MD at Camellia, a Bangalore based clothing company. This mask is an advanced tech product and completely Made in India.
Rajiv Srivatsa, PGP 2004 appointed as Head of Operations, India – Antler
Rajiv has been appointed as the head of operations in India for the global VC firm Antler. Antler plans to launch in India and aims to build more than 150 startups in the next four years, enabling more entrepreneurs to leverage their platform, support and global reach. Rajiv has formerly been the Co-Founder and Chief Product & Tech Officer at Urban Ladder.

Happiness amidst a pandemic – Sanjay Thirumalai, PGP 1999
Sanjay Thirumalai is a Managing Director in Grant Thornton’s Advisory practice. He writes about happiness, a subject close to him and his research. A very interesting read and something we can all use in the present times.
A few years ago, I had written an article about six happiness hacks based on neuroscience. The series and versions of lockdown brought us some heartburns and headaches, but we have seen some brightness amidst all this crisis.
